Morgon, Beaujolais, France
A light and lively ruby in the glass. Bright red and blue summer fruits are primary on the nose, with secondary notes of green herbs and white flowers. More complexity develops as it is exposed to air in the glass, with just a hint of spice and dark chocolate on the palate and some well-executed tannin to round it out. The finish is oh so long. A beautiful Morgon for the Beaujolais afficianado, but also a great bottle for those just starting to get acquainted with the region.
